The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), represented by Stella Oduem, has issued a statement distancing itself from an unauthorized social media account operating under the name 'Nigeria National Grid' on X, formerly known as Twitter. NISO warned the public against relying on information disseminated by this account, which continues to publish misleading and unauthorized information regarding Nigeria's power grid.

In a press release made available over the weekend, NISO reiterated that it does not own, manage, or control this account and has no affiliation with the individuals or entities operating it. The agency emphasized that the content published by this account does not reflect its official position or activities.

NISO urged members of the public and media organizations to disregard reports from this unauthorized account and to rely on verified platforms for official communications, which include Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and its official website, www.niso.org.ng.
