NJC Appoints 35 Judges and Elevates Justice Oyewole in Nigeria

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has approved the appointment of 35 judges in various courts across Nigeria and recommended the elevation of Hon. Justice Joseph Oyewole to the Court of Appeal.

The decision was made during the NJC's 110th meeting chaired by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

The appointments cover states like Borno, Plateau, Ekiti, Niger Delta, Benue, and Taraba, with additional recommendations for Sharia and customary court judges. The move is part of efforts to enhance the judiciary's capacity nationwide, following a rigorous screening process in line with NJC guidelines.
