NLC Seeks Sale Of Crude Oil To Dangote Refinery In Naira

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has urged the federal government to sell crude oil to the Dangote Refinery in Naira to prevent another round of petrol scarcity. NLC President Comrade Joe Ajaero made the call during a tour of the refinery's facilities, emphasizing the need for the government to support Nigerians by facilitating the sale of crude oil in local currency.

Ajaero praised Dangote Refinery as a transformative national asset that would bridge Nigeria's fuel supply gap, boost employment, and restore public confidence in the country's industrial capacity. Vice President Oil & Gas of Dangote Industries Limited, Mr.

Devakumar Edwin, highlighted plans to deploy Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks to support the distribution of refined petroleum products across Nigeria, aiming to reduce fuel prices and benefit consumers.
