NLNG Signs 20-Year Gas Supply Agreements With NNPC, Partners

Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) has signed 20-year Gas Supply Agreements (GSAs) with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and several upstream gas providers to deliver billions of standard cubic feet per day of feedgas to NLNG. The agreement includes options for extensions and involves companies like Shell Gas Solutions Limited, Oando Group, and Aradel Holdings.

The GSAs aim to close the gap in upstream gas supply and are a significant step in Nigeria's energy transformation plan. NNPC's Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr Bashir Ojulari, praised the deal as a huge step towards sustainable gas supply and revenue generation.

NLNG's Managing Director, Philip Mshelbila, highlighted that the GSAs will not only bolster feed gas supply but also enhance Nigeria's position in the global LNG market. The agreement is part of the Federal Government's gas reform efforts to improve energy security and economic development.
