NMA uncovers alleged baby factory in Delta

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) in Delta State uncovered an alleged baby factory operating under the guise of a hospital along Orhuwhorun Road in Udu Local Government Area. The NMA Zonal chairman, Djebah Bright, confirmed the discovery during a routine monitoring exercise to clamp down on medical quackery and unregistered facilities.

Four babies were found in the facility, which was being run by an unqualified practitioner. The NMA immediately alerted the police, who arrested the operator and an auxiliary nurse found feeding the babies.

The babies have since been transferred to an orphanage in Asaba for proper care. The NMA chairman emphasized the association's commitment to safeguarding public health by exposing quackery and shutting down fake medical facilities in the region.
