Nnamdi Kanu Seeks Dismissal of Charges, Citing Lack of Legal Basis and Jurisdiction

Nnamdi Kanu, the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has filed a fresh motion in the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking the dismissal of charges brought against him by the Nigerian government. Kanu argues that the ongoing prosecution lacks a valid legal basis and describes the case as null and void from the beginning.

He contends that the alleged offenses took place in Kenya, outside Nigeria's jurisdiction, and therefore, the Nigerian court lacks jurisdiction. Kanu cites legal provisions and landmark decisions to support his motion, urging the court to compel the prosecution to respond.
