Nnamdi Kanu Files Defense in Court Amid Terrorism Charges

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has filed his defense in a Federal High Court in Abuja after the court temporarily relocated the registry to the courtroom. Kanu is facing terrorism charges brought by the federal government.

His family alleges that the Department of State Services (DSS) is obstructing his access to legal representation. Kanu insists on the government showing specific terror laws allegedly breached before opening his defense.

The court has stood down the matter until Friday to allow time for the defense documents to be submitted promptly.
