Nnamdi Kanu Petitions NBA, Seeks Sanctions Against Three Judges

Nnamdi Kanu has personally petitioned the NBA, seeking sanctions against three judges - Binta Nyako, Haruna Tsammani, and Garba Lawal. The petition, signed by Kanu and made available to journalists, accuses the judges of committing a miscarriage of justice in handling his case.

Kanu, who has been in DSS custody since his extraordinary rendition from Kenya in June 2021, outlined a catalogue of infractions allegedly committed by the judges. He urged the NBA, currently meeting in Enugu, to investigate the matter and impose appropriate sanctions on the judges involved to restore public confidence in the legal system.

Kanu also demanded that the NBA affirm that no Nigerian should ever be detained, abducted, or tried under repealed laws, emphasizing the importance of holding erring judges accountable.
