Wikki Tourists' Abubakar Aims for NPFL Return in 2026-27

Bala Abubakar, the technical adviser for Wikki Tourists, has expressed his commitment to assembling a strong and competitive squad for the upcoming 2026-27 season in the Nigeria National League (NNL). He emphasized that only players who demonstrate quality, commitment, and readiness will be included in the final squad.

Abubakar stated the team's primary objective is to secure an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). He conveyed this mission clearly, stating, “Our mission is clear, to return Wikki Tourists to the NPFL.” He acknowledged the expectations placed upon the team and expressed confidence in achieving their goal with the support of management, government, supporters, and stakeholders.

Additionally, it was reported that Wikki Tourists have achieved four wins and two defeats in six warm-up matches as they prepare for the season.
