Wikki Tourists FC Aims for NPFL Return, Says Coach Abubakar

Bala Abubakar, the Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists FC, has expressed the club's commitment to assembling a competitive squad aimed at an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). This statement was made during a player assessment exercise at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

Abubakar emphasized that every player undergoing evaluation has an equal chance to secure a place in the team, with selection based on quality, commitment, and readiness. Wikki Tourists have played six pre-season friendly matches, winning four and losing two, which has allowed the technical crew to evaluate players and enhance the team ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season.

Abubakar articulated the club's clear mission to return to the NPFL, acknowledging the support from management, government, and stakeholders as crucial to achieving this goal. Wikki Tourists, having been relegated from the NPFL, will compete in the Nigeria National League this season.
