Edward Green Set to Become Head Coach of Godswill Akpabio United

Edward Green is poised to be appointed as the new head coach of Godswill Akpabio United FC, a club in the Nigeria National League (NNL). This decision comes after Lawrence Kingsley stepped down from the coaching role last week.

Green, who has been recognized as the ideal replacement, is anticipated to sign a two-year contract with the Uyo-based club. Prior to this potential appointment, Green served as an assistant coach with Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season.

He has also held assistant coaching positions with Akwa United and Sporting Lagos, where he was part of the technical crew that successfully guided Sporting Lagos to the NPFL in 2024.
