NNPC Empowers Northern Farmers with Modern Techniques

The NNPC Foundation, the CSR arm of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, has extended its Farmers' Empowerment Programme to Northern Nigeria, focusing on modern agricultural techniques. This initiative, part of the federal government's agricultural transformation agenda, aims to equip vulnerable farmers with skills in organic fertilization, loss reduction, and market access strategies.

Following a successful first phase in the Southern region, the second phase will cover six states across three zones and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Emmanuella Arukwe, Managing Director of NNPC Foundation, highlighted the program's alignment with efforts to enhance food security, increase productivity, and improve livelihoods for smallholder farmers nationwide.
