NNPC Ltd Reports N462bn Profit, N4.3trn Revenue in May

In May 2026, NNPC Ltd recorded a profit of N462 billion and revenue of N4.335 trillion, as detailed in its monthly report released on Wednesday. The state-owned oil firm remitted a cumulative sum of N4.858 billion to the federal account from January to May 2026, solidifying its position as a major contributor to national revenue.

During the review period, NNPC Ltd's crude oil and condensate output averaged 1.73 million barrels per day (mbpd), while natural gas production stood at 7.774 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd). The company maintained a high pipeline availability rate of 98 percent.

Premium motor spirit (petrol) availability was reported at 57 percent for the month, sustaining a growth trajectory. NNPC Ltd stated it is intensifying strategic measures to tackle existing operational challenges, address performance issues related to declining reservoir pressure, and manage maintenance-related shutdowns to ensure reliable output.
