NNPC Retail Launches She-Fix Initiative for Women

NNPC Retail, a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC), hosted the second edition of its She-Fix initiative in Abuja, focusing on empowering women in the energy sector. The event, themed "Drive Divers Power Progress," attracted 300 women, including professionals, business owners, and young technicians.

Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs, emphasized the significance of inclusivity for national growth and called for opportunities for women in technical fields such as STEM. Sophia Mbakw, Executive Vice President of Business Services at NNPC, noted that women's contributions permeate every level of the company, which serves as a daily point of contact for ordinary Nigerians.

Huub Stokman, Managing Director of NNPC Retail, and Valentina Kojo, Executive Director of Finance, also spoke on the importance of women's empowerment in the energy sector. Andi Odeh, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, reiterated that when women lead, organizations grow, and societies prosper.
