NNPP rejects APC victory in Kano re-run election, heads to court

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano has rejected the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in a re-run State Assembly election, alleging that the poll was rigged. The NNPP has announced its decision to challenge the declaration in court.

The party's Kano State Chairman, Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, stated that the party had achieved significant success in the Kano Ghari state constituency and accused the APC of manipulating the election results. Dungurawa claimed that voters were denied their right to vote and that the election was not conducted in an ideal manner.

The NNPP is demanding a fresh election in the 10 polling units where irregularities were reported. The party vows to continue fighting against injustice and election manipulation, urging the people of Kano to stand against any attempts to disenfranchise them.
