NNS Beecroft Celebrates Navy's 70th Anniversary in Lagos

On Tuesday, NNS Beecroft marked the Nigerian Navy's 70th anniversary with an educational and medical outreach in Lagos. The event featured the distribution of educational materials to pupils at the Nigerian Navy Primary School and offered free medical consultations and treatments for children in the host community.

Commodore Aiwuyor Aliu, the leader of NNS Beecroft, initiated this outreach under the direction of the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abba. The outreach aimed to strengthen the relationship between the Navy and the civilian community, reflecting the Navy's long-standing commitment to community support since its establishment on June 1, 1956.

The initiative included arrangements for follow-up care for patients requiring further medical attention, reinforcing the importance of healthcare and education in child development. The event was part of broader activities commemorating seven decades of naval service to national security and community partnership.
