Abia Police Deny Explosives at Church Despite Pastor's Claims

The Abia State Police Command has denied claims by a pastor at Unit Evangel Church in Aba, Abia State, alleging the presence of explosives on church premises. The police, led by Danladi Isa and Maureen Chinaka, clarified that no bomb or explosive device was discovered at the church.

The pastor, Eleazar Onyenweaku, disputed the police's position, insisting that a potentially dangerous object was unearthed during construction work. Despite the pastor's plea for intervention from Governor Alex Otti to conduct a thorough scan of the premises, the police stand by their findings.

The police emphasized their commitment to public safety and urged residents to cooperate on security matters. The incident prompted a visit from the state security department to investigate further.
