Nigerian Police Deny Fresh Charges Against Sowore, Clarify Rearrest Reason

The Nigerian Police Force refuted reports of fresh charges against activist Sowore, stating his rearrest was not based on new charges but due to procedural errors during his court appearance in Abuja. Sowore and 13 others were granted bail by the Kuje Magistrate Court after participating in a protest for the release of IPOB leader.

The police clarified that Sowore was not rearrested but remanded in prison until he met bail conditions set by the court.
