Akpabio Apologizes to Oshiomhole Over Truce Breach

During a plenary session on Thursday, Senator Adams Oshiomhole accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of violating their agreement of no more hostilities by referencing a previous incident involving a viral video of Oshiomhole purportedly massaging a woman's legs. Oshiomhole stated that both lawmakers had signed a truce to avoid jokes about past controversies and expressed his disappointment at Akpabio's comment.

He indicated that he would not pursue the matter further, withdrawing his proposed action. Akpabio responded by apologizing to Oshiomhole, clarifying that his comment was made in response to another senator's remarks regarding a canceled warrant of arrest.

He acknowledged their agreement and assured Oshiomhole that he would refrain from further references to past issues, emphasizing his respect for Oshiomhole and their relationship as former governors. Akpabio concluded by humorously stating that he would not act like countries that break agreements shortly after signing them.
