Oyo APC Confirms No Preferred Candidate for 2027 Elections

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially stated that there is currently no preferred candidate for the gubernatorial elections in 2027. This clarification was issued by Wasiu Sadar, the party's spokesperson, in a statement made available to the Daily Post on Wednesday.

The announcement follows rumors that party leaders had already selected a gubernatorial candidate during a meeting in Abuja. Sadar urged party members to disregard these rumors, emphasizing that the party will adhere to its rules and regulations in selecting candidates for elections.

He noted that all aspirants will be given equal opportunity to contest, in accordance with electoral guidelines. Sadar reassured citizens that the candidates will be chosen based on their ability to serve the best interests of the public and fulfill campaign promises.
