APC Confident of Winning Oyo Governorship in 2027

Peter Abidemi Olaoluwa, a governorship aspirant from the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated on Wednesday that the APC is poised to win the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State. Speaking at a meeting with Oyo APC leaders and stakeholders at the party's state secretariat in Ibadan, Olaoluwa asserted that the APC could defeat any candidate fielded by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including the incumbent governor, Seyi Makinde.

He emphasized that the APC's potential to govern is driven by a genuine interest in the welfare of the people of Oyo State, who he believes are yearning for change. Olaoluwa criticized the current administration for its failures and pledged that an APC-led government would focus on selfless service and restoring the state's status as a pacesetter among Nigerian states.

He also highlighted the need for a revised salary structure, proposing that salaries be paid bi-weekly instead of the current monthly schedule.
