Uba Sani Praises Tinubu's Support for Northern Nigeria

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, asserted that President Bola Tinubu has provided unprecedented support to Northern Nigeria, claiming that no other president has matched this level of assistance. During a forum organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation in June 2025, Sani highlighted improvements in security and infrastructure since Tinubu took office, noting the ease of travel from Kaduna to Birnin Gwari without military or police escorts, a stark contrast to previous conditions.

He expressed confidence that the people of Kaduna would reward Tinubu with their votes in the 2027 elections. However, Sani's remarks come amid criticisms from Northern leaders, including Bashir M.

Dalhatu of the Arewa Consultative Forum, who accused the Tinubu administration of excluding the North in project distributions. Abdul Azeez Suleiman, a spokesman for the Northern Elders Forum, also expressed regret over the region's support for Tinubu in the 2023 elections, indicating a need for unity and consensus in selecting future presidential candidates.
