Oyo Police Debunk Viral Terrorist Movement Video

The Oyo State Police Command has issued a statement refuting claims made in a viral video that alleged the movement of 300 terrorists into Oyo State. The police described the video as false and deliberately crafted to incite fear and heighten public tension.

Olayinka Ayanlad, from the police public relations office, explained that a forensic review found the video misleading, with voice overlays attributed to Alhaji Muftau Kontagora being previously debunked. The command confirmed that there is no evidence supporting the claims made in the video, which was found to be unfounded and not recorded in Nigeria.

The police warned individuals and groups against disseminating false information that could undermine public peace and security. They reiterated their commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the state and stated that anyone found spreading misinformation would face legal consequences.

The leadership of the Oyo State Police Command, led by CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, remains resolute in maintaining peace and order.
