NOA and NAWOJ Collaborate for 2027 Elections Education

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), led by Director General Mallam Lanre Issa Onilu, has partnered with the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) to promote value reorientation and civic education in preparation for the 2027 elections. During a courtesy visit to NAWOJ, Onilu highlighted the agency's commitment to strengthening collaboration with NAWOJ to enhance democratic consolidation and public engagement.

He noted that NOA has established a framework to maintain a robust grassroots structure with 800 offices nationwide. The agency aims to improve voter civic education, particularly among the youth, who represent a significant portion of the population.

NAWOJ President Aishatu Ibrahim emphasized the need for joint initiatives, including nationwide training workshops and community outreach programs targeting women and youth. The collaboration seeks to develop civic education materials in local languages and promote informed participation in the electoral process, reinforcing the importance of national values and civic responsibility.
