NOA Launches Clheean App to Enhance Citizen Engagement

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) unveiled the "Clheean" mobile app in Abuja, a digital platform aimed at improving citizen engagement with the government. Director General Lanr Issa Onilu described the launch as a significant moment in Nigeria's journey towards better governance.

The app utilizes AI-powered virtual assistance to provide civic education and promote national unity by ensuring accurate information about government policies. It addresses longstanding challenges such as limited access to information, low citizen participation, and weak feedback channels.

The Clheean app features a voice chat assistant, multilingual support in Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, and includes modules for civic education, feedback reporting, and interactive engagement options like debates and quizzes. The launch aligns with the federal government's agenda to promote transparency and inclusivity, aiming to give citizens a voice in decision-making processes that affect their lives.
