Maureen Okpoko, a Nollywood actress, has publicly shared her battle with blindness, which she has faced for the past four years. In a recent video, she appealed to bloggers, colleagues, friends, and the public for financial assistance to fund further medical intervention.

Okpoko specifically mentioned Tunde Ednut and other members of the film industry in her plea, emphasizing the importance of prayers and encouragement during this challenging time. Her appeal follows a similar call from veteran Nigerian actor and musician Harry B.

Anyanwu, who urged the Nollywood community and the public to support Okpoko in accessing the necessary treatment. Anyanwu, who was with Okpoko in Enugu, described her as a dear colleague and expressed the urgency of the situation, asking for collective efforts to help her regain her sight.
