Nollywood Icons Endorse Desmond Elliot for Fourth Term

A coalition of Nollywood icons has publicly endorsed Desmond Elliot's campaign for a fourth term in the Lagos State House of Assembly, ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries scheduled for May 21. The appeal was made during a press briefing by the Suruler Group, which highlighted Elliot's continuous representation of the Suruler constituency and his contributions to the creative sector since his election in 2015.

The group, which includes notable figures such as Zeb Ejiro, Zik Zulu Okafor, and Fred Amata, believes that Elliot's legislative experience and visibility are crucial for grassroots development. They emphasized his focus on interventions in education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and welfare support.

The group also noted Elliot's role in bridging the creative community and the government, asserting that his leadership is vital for strengthening the representation of the creative industry within the Lagos State House of Assembly.
