Nigeria's Non-Oil Exports Hit Record N9.2 Trillion in 2025, Reflecting Strong Growth

Nigeria's non-oil exports surged to a record N9.2 trillion in the first nine months of 2025, marking a 48% rise from N6.2 trillion in the same period in 2024. The increase, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), reflects the continuous reshaping of Nigeria's external trade profile due to the devaluation of the Naira.

Despite the impressive growth, non-oil exports still account for a relatively small portion of Nigeria's total export mix. The data also indicates a rapid expansion in non-oil exports following the currency adjustment in mid-2023, leading to improved export revenues.
