North-Central APC Forum Opposes State Police Creation, Citing Anarchy Risks

The North-Central APC Forum opposes the creation of state police in Nigeria, urging President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly to reject the proposal. The Forum, consisting of APC stakeholders in the region, responded to Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang's call for state police, citing concerns about potential anarchy and increased impunity.

Chairman Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga warned of the dangers of introducing state police, emphasizing the risk of power abuse and subjugation of minority groups. The Forum expressed that state police could serve the interests of those in power and oppress already marginalized groups.
