North West Devt Commission Plans $200M Agric Transformation

The North West Development Commission is planning a $200 million Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on agricultural development. The partnership involves the commission, Shanghai Integrated Infrastructure Development Limited, and Pearless Advisory Limited, aiming to revolutionize the agricultural value chain in the region.

The initiative seeks to empower local farmers with modern technology to enhance yields and stimulate growth in the livestock sector. The Managing Director of the Commission, Professor Shehu Abdullahi Aji, highlighted the project's significance in line with President Buhari's directive to boost agriculture in the region.

The collaboration aims to unlock the agricultural potential of the Northwest region through strategic partnerships and modernization efforts.
