North West Security Summit: Uba Sani and Defence Minister Propose Solutions to Insecurity

At the North West security summit in Kaduna, Governor Uba Sani advocated for an integrated security system to address the challenges of insecurity in the region. He suggested the creation of a North West theatre command to unify the Nigerian Army's 1st and 8th divisions for better coordination and intelligence sharing.

The Defence Minister, Bola T, reiterated the importance of regional collaboration, particularly through the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) around the Lake Chad Basin to disrupt criminal activities. Both leaders emphasized the role of community engagement and the establishment of local security committees to build trust and enhance security measures.
