Northern Leaders Celebrate Dangote's Time 2026 Recognition

Northern business leaders have expressed their admiration for Aliko Dangote, who is the only Nigerian featured on Time magazine's 2026 list of the world's 100 most influential people. Alhaji Farouk Suleiman, President of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), emphasized that Dangote's recognition is a moment of pride for Nigeria and the African continent.

Suleiman noted Dangote's pioneering role in building large-scale industries, which has significantly reduced Nigeria's dependence on imports and created thousands of jobs. Nura Madugu from the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) highlighted Dangote's investments in critical sectors such as manufacturing and agriculture, which have reshaped Nigeria's economy and strengthened its position in the global market.

Agabaidu Jideani from the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) remarked on Dangote's philanthropic efforts, particularly in health and education, underscoring his commitment to social responsibility and poverty alleviation across Africa. Sambo Manasseh from NASSI commended Dangote's transformative role in advancing the industrial sector and fostering local capacity development.
