Northern Christians Support Bishops, Warn Tinubu's Spokesman

The Northern Christian Association (NCA) has expressed its support for the Catholic Bishops following their recent meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The association cautioned Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Policy Communications, against engaging in divisive politics that could threaten Christian unity.

NCA Chairman Rev. Joseph John Hayab stated that the Bishops addressed issues affecting all Christians and Nigerians, not just Catholics, and their message focused on national interest, humanity, and good governance.

Hayab emphasized that the NCA comprises members from various Christian denominations, including the Catholic Church, Baptist, ECWA, Methodist, Anglican, and Pentecostal churches. He condemned Bwala's disrespect towards the Cardinal and the Bishops, labeling it as "shameful and a disservice" to President Tinubu.

Hayab asserted that the Bishops provided honest counsel aimed at helping the President succeed and improve the nation, warning that government officials prioritizing propaganda over genuine citizen concerns are detrimental to the country.
