Bauchi Governor Signs Law Creating 29 New LGAs, 111 District Heads

The Bauchi State Governor, under the control of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has signed a bill to create 29 additional Local Government Areas (LGAs), bringing the total to 49 LGAs in the state. The law was passed by the Bauchi State House of Assembly, following constitutional procedures.

Additionally, the governor has also signed a law on chieftaincy appointments, establishing 111 district heads across the state. The move aims to enhance administrative efficiency and grassroots governance.

The new laws require approval from the National Assembly and state legislatures to become fully effective.
