Northern Lions, Middle-belt Tigers Win in Super League Opener

The Nigeria Super League kicked off with Northern Lions and Middle-belt Tigers securing victories in their respective matches. Northern Lions faced Southern Sharks, winning by four wickets.

After winning the toss, Southern Sharks opted to bat but struggled, scoring only 89 runs in 20 overs. Reigneth Osagi made an early impact for Northern Lions, taking 3 wickets for just 9 runs.

Captain Okp Sylvest contributed significantly with the bat, scoring 20 runs off 15 balls. Northern Lions chased down the target, finishing at 92 for 6 in 15.4 overs.

In the second match, Middle-belt Tigers defeated Western Dolphins, also by four wickets. Western Dolphins batted first, posting 129 runs, with David Abiebhod scoring 31 runs off 17 balls.
