NOSDRA Relaunches Environmental Sensitivity Index Map in Abuja, Showcasing Oil Spill Response Achievements

The National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) relaunched the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) Map in Abuja, showcasing its efforts in oil spill response and environmental monitoring. The event featured keynotes from Minister of Environment Mallam Balarab Abba Lawal, praising NOSDRA's commitment to safeguarding the environment.

The agency's achievements include conducting over 1,400 joint investigation visits, recovering barrels of crude oil, and issuing closeout certificates for major clean projects like Bodo under HYPREP. NOSDRA's proactive approach and call for collaboration aim to enhance environmental sustainability in the oil and gas sector.
