NAFDAC Addresses Indomie Noodle Recall Fears Amid Undeclared Allergens

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) addressed public concerns regarding the recent recall alert involving Indomie noodles' vegetable flavor. The recall was initiated by French health authorities due to undeclared allergens (milk and egg) found in the product, posing health risks to individuals with allergies.

NAFDAC clarified that the affected product was neither registered nor sold in Nigeria, emphasizing that locally produced noodles meet strict regulatory requirements. The agency urged consumers to exercise caution, discard any recalled products, and report adverse reactions.

NAFDAC is intensifying surveillance to prevent the entry of recalled products into the country.
