The alert, tagged "Public Alert No. 039/2025," highlights concerns over the influx of unsafe and illegally imported oils being distributed openly under different brand names.

NAFDAC warns that these products lack traceable manufacturing details and official registration numbers, raising serious health concerns for consumers. The agency identified multiple cities where these adulterated oils are being sold, emphasizing the need for vigilance to avoid potential health hazards.
