Davido Advocates for Couples Having Separate Bank Accounts

Nigerian music star Davido expressed his support for couples maintaining separate bank accounts during an appearance on The Uncut Podcast. When asked about the idea of women having secret bank accounts away from their partners, Davido stated that he sees nothing wrong with it and believes it should apply to both partners.

He emphasized the importance of financial independence, noting that individuals should be prepared for any changes in circumstances. Davido remarked, “If I ever found out that my wife had a secret bank account, I’d not be angry; I think everybody should have their own.” He concluded that personal financial independence is beneficial in relationships, advocating that everyone, regardless of marital status, should maintain their own account.
