In a viral video, Nigerian afrobeat singer Davido, whose full name is David Adeleke, explained why his wife, Chioma Adeleke, is responsible for managing their finances. He described himself as a reckless spender, which necessitated this arrangement to keep their financial life organized.

During a call with DavrelTV, Davido asked Chioma to transfer $4,000 but noted that she was unable to access the account due to login issues. He revealed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month, which covers personal expenses but does not include Chioma's expenses or those of other household members.

This monthly expenditure also excludes major luxury purchases such as cars and jewelry. Davido's candid admission highlights the financial dynamics within his household and the role Chioma plays in managing their finances.
