NPA Receives Outstanding Agency of the Year Award 2025

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) was honored with the Outstanding Agency of the Year Award during a ceremony held in Lagos in 2025. Dr.

Abubakar Dantsoho, the Managing Director of NPA, described the award as a recognition of the agency's vigorous leadership and the implementation of smart initiatives aligned with NPA's vision to become a maritime logistics hub and sustain port services in Africa. Mr.

Ikechukwu Onyemekara, General Manager of Corporate Affairs at NPA, emphasized the invaluable support from the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, which was instrumental in achieving this success. The NPA's accomplishments include sustaining port efficiency, contributing to Nigeria's trade surplus of N7.5 trillion in Q2 and N6.7 trillion in Q3 of 2025, and executing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's policies on crude petroleum product sales.

The NPA also aims to enhance energy security, improve trade balance, and create jobs, alongside significant projects like the $1 billion reconstruction of the Tin Can Island Port Complex.
