Joseph Arumala Leads NPFL Goalscorers as Rivers United Wins

In the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), Joseph Arumala of Ikorodu City has emerged as the top goalscorer, netting 12 goals this season following a decisive 3-0 victory over Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on April 12. This performance places him ahead of Godwin Obaj of Rangers International and Chukwuemeka Obioma of Abia Warriors, who are both in pursuit with 11 goals.

Four players, including Victor Mbaoma of Remo Stars and Chidera Michael of Enyimba, are tied with 10 goals each. Meanwhile, Rivers United returned to the top of the league table after defeating Plateau United 1-0 at the Adokiy Amiesimaka Stadium, with Wisdom Samuel scoring the only goal in the 10th minute.
