Rivers United Thrills Coach Finidi with Scoring Streak

Finidi George, the coach of Rivers United, expressed his satisfaction with the team's recent scoring performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). Rivers United secured a 3-1 victory against Bendel Insurance FC, following a 3-0 win over El Kanemi Warriors FC.

This marked the first time Rivers United scored three goals in an NPFL match this season. The team has now achieved back-to-back wins, improving their league standing with 52 points, holding a two-point lead over former champions Rangers International FC.

Finidi noted that the players are beginning to believe in their scoring abilities, although he emphasized that the team's work ethic and methods had not changed. He acknowledged that the team almost let a two-goal lead slip against Bendel Insurance, indicating a need for better pressure management.

Rivers United's next match will be against Shooting Stars in Ibadan.
