NPFL Summons Kun Khalifat FC Media Officer Over Alleged Derogatory Statements

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has summoned Saviola Godwin Otu, the media officer of Kun Khalifat FC, to a hearing in Abuja. Otu allegedly made derogatory statements against NPFL officials and is expected to provide proof, including audio-visual support for his claims.

This action follows Otu's accusations of double standards by the NPFL after the league refused to acknowledge Kun Khalifat FC's request for a match postponement against El Kanemi Warrior, while granting a reprieve to Katsina United in a similar situation. Otu has been invited to NPFL headquarters in Abuja to address the allegations of double standards.

The NPFL statement on Wednesday emphasized that Otu must appear with proof regarding the alleged double standards involving Katsina United. Kun Khalifat FC failed to honor their match against El Kanemi Warrior.
