Uzoho Celebrates First Win as Kun Khalifat FC Defeats Kwara United

Obinna Uzoho, the head coach of Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri, achieved his first victory in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season on September 28, 2026. His team played at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, where they defeated Kwara United of Ilorin by a score of 1-0, with the lone goal scored by striker Agor after sustained pressure.

Following the match, Uzoho expressed his happiness at securing this hard-earned victory after a challenging start to the season, which included three losses and two draws in their first six matches. He noted that he had lost many experienced players to other clubs during the pre-season transfer market and is now focusing on developing new and young players from lower divisions.

Uzoho called on the club's fans to continue supporting the team and promised to improve their performance as they prepare to face Niger Tornadoes in Match Day 7 in Minna.
