NRC Suspends Kajola–Apapa Train Service for Maintenance

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the temporary suspension of the Kajola–Apapa passenger train service for a three-week maintenance period starting July 6. The last passenger service before the maintenance will operate on July 3.

NRC assured that freight services to the Apapa port complex will continue without interruption throughout the maintenance period. Passengers are advised to utilize the Lagos Mass Transit Train (LMTT) service, which operates on weekdays, with morning departures from Ijoko at 6:30 AM and Kajola at 7:00 AM, and return services leaving Iddo at 5:30 PM and Ijoko at 6:15 PM.

Dr. Kayode Opeifa, the Managing Director of NRC, stated that the maintenance exercise aims to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in train operations.

He thanked passengers for their patience and understanding during this period and reaffirmed NRC's commitment to providing safe and reliable rail transport services across the country.
