NRC Boosts Lagos-Ibadan Train Trips for Sallah

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) announced a temporary increase in train operations along the Lagos-Ibadan train service corridor in anticipation of the Sallah celebrations. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Saturday by Mr.

Callistus Unyimadu, the Chief Public Relations Officer of NRC. The corporation will introduce six train trips on Tuesday, May 26, instead of the usual four trips scheduled for that route.

The new departure times from Lagos are set for 7:45 AM, 1:40 PM, and 4:00 PM, while trains departing from Ibadan will leave at 8:00 AM, 10:50 AM, and 4:30 PM. NRC explained that this increase in service is a temporary measure specifically designed to cater to the expected rise in passenger traffic during the festive period.

Following the Sallah celebrations, the regular four train trips will resume, with six trips scheduled to run on Thursday, May 28, during the review period.
