Arewa Youth Backs Adedeji's Revenue Leadership Success

The Arewa Youth group has reaffirmed its confidence in Mr. Adedeji, the head of the Nigerian Revenue Service (NRS), for his effective leadership in advancing President Bola Tinubu's revenue agenda.

In a statement by Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, the group noted that under Mr. Adedeji's leadership, the NRS exceeded its 2025 revenue target by 25%, achieving a total collection of 28.23 trillion Naira, which is 3 trillion Naira above the projected figure and represents a 12% increase.

This achievement aligns with President Tinubu's fiscal reform agenda aimed at reducing Nigeria's overdependence on oil revenue and enhancing internal revenue generation to ensure sustainable economic growth. The Arewa Youth group emphasized the importance of ongoing reforms within the tax administration system and urged stakeholders across the country to support these initiatives, which are critical for funding infrastructure and social services, thereby prioritizing national development.
