NSCDC Arrests 70 Suspects in Edo State Kidnap Syndicate Crackdown

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) conducted an operation in Okpella, Edo State, arresting 70 suspects associated with kidnapping, rape, and other violent crimes. The operation, supported by the Nigerian Army and BUA Cement Company, led to the rescue of multiple kidnap victims.

One victim, Mr. Agb Matar, narrated being held captive for seven days before the NSCDC intervened.

The paramount ruler of Itsukwi Kingdom, Usman Suleiman Ogei III, commended the NSCDC for restoring peace in the area. The NSCDC's commitment to protecting citizens and dismantling criminal networks was highlighted.
