AUST Abuja Secures NUC Accreditation; Onwualu Named COOU Pro-Chancellor

The African University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Abuja has achieved a significant milestone by receiving full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for its academic programs, valid for five years. This accreditation reflects the NUC's confidence in the quality of AUST's infrastructure, teaching, and research standards.

The announcement was made in an official communication signed by the head of media services at AUST, Prince Obioh Atulomah. Notable achievements of AUST include full accreditation for programs in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Energy Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

Additionally, the university has received interim accreditation for two years for other programs. This outcome underscores AUST's growing reputation in technology, innovation, and engineering education.

In a related development, Professor Azikiwe Peter Onwualu has been appointed as the Pro-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), further enhancing leadership in the educational sector.
